When someone checks the SRD state, your screen will show you a number of different alerts. We explained all SASSA status checks and what they meant in 2024 so that new candidates wouldn’t get confused.

Pending Status:
- If this is your first time filing for the SASSA R370 grant, you will see the message “SASSA status pending.”

Means Income Source Identified Undefined:
- SASSA uses a Means test to make sure that the money is given out fairly. Before an applicant can be considered for the grant, this test will be used to see if he meets the standards.
- This message says that the applicant’s source of income is not mentioned in the application.
Status Canceled:
- SASSA has rejected the status of your application. The reason for this failure is it could not pass the SASSA verification procedure.
- Status of SRD grant application incomplete.
