There will be no rise in the rate of Universal Credit payments starting on or after April 8, 2024. This is important to keep in mind. If the assessment period starts before this date, even by one day, the payment for the whole month will be based on the rates from the previous year.

For example, if the assessment time is from April 7, 2024, to May 6, 2024, it will miss the new rate increase. This will have an effect on the payment that is made on May 13, 2024.
DWP Monthly Payment Adjustments
Assessment times, which last one month, are used to figure out how much Universal Credit to pay each person. The due date for each exam is one week before it is due. Every day after April 8, 2024, the recipient will be evaluated for a new amount of time.
