Sport climbing legend Janja Garnbret dazzles in Boulder semis to storm ahead at Paris 2024 Olympics

Janja Garnbret is the Olympic and world winner in sport climbing, so her opponents may have a big mountain to climb if they want to beat her.

In the women’s semi-finals, the Slovenian boulderer almost perfected her performance, getting 99.6 out of a possible 100. At Paris 2024, French hope Oriane Bertone showed how good she is.

Twenty women competed in the combined Boulder and Lead event, which started on Tuesday, August 6, by taking on the four rocks.

She told her competitors that she was only here for one medal because she was the only climber who could get to the top of all four rocks.

Bertone, meanwhile, climbed three boulders to get a total score of 84.5 and come in second. Brooke Raboutou (83.7) from the USA and Oceania Mackenzie (79.6) from Australia did the same thing to come in third and fourth, respectively.

The climbers will go again in the Lead on Thursday. The eight climbers with the best total scores will go to the final on Saturday.
