– 1 recipe Cheesy Skillet Bread– 12 ounces spicy Italian sausage– 1 cup diced celery– ½ cup diced onion– 2 garlic cloves minced– 1 teaspoon dried sage– ½ teaspoon kosher salt– ¼ teaspoon black pepper– ½ cup low sodium chicken broth– 2 large eggs– ¼ cup heavy cream
INGREDIENTS
Prepare the skillet bread and cube it into ½ inch pieces a day or two ahead. Preheat oven to 200ºF. Bake bread cubes on a big sheet for 2–3 hours until crisp and dry. Let dry overnight.

INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-heat the oven to 350ºF and butter a 9x13 glass or ceramic baking dish. Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes, breaking up chunks with a wooden spoon.
Step 2
Slotted spoon sausage into a big bowl. Saute celery, onion, garlic, sage, salt, and pepper in the skillet for 5 minutes until tender. Add to bowl. Add bread cubes to sausage. Mix well.
Step 3
Mix eggs, cream, and broth in a medium bowl. Pour over bowl mixture and stir. In baking dish. Uncover and bake 35 minutes until brown.
